Closed captioning is essential for inclusive design. It improves the viewing experience for many people viewing in the following conditions:

• Noisy room
• Taking notes
• Beside a sleeping partner or baby
• In a class / meeting

Our strategy has been to allow YouTube to auto-caption (even if we are not using YouTube to host the video) then edit the captions. You can easily download the captions in a .vvt file and upload it elsewhere (like in H5P). Please comment below if you have any tips to add.
