Planning: What to Say … Scripting vs. Speaking Points

Scripting takes longer but you are less likely to forget information and more likely to be concise. For me, it helps decrease editing time. Scripting is best for me for videos where I am not on camera.

Speaking points are easier for me when I am on-camera because I worry less about reading the script. Using speaking points got easier for me as I got to practice making videos because I got better at using the key elements of a video and how to be interesting.

 

Either way include: 

  • A concise hook!
  • Introduction (if needed)
  • Content
  • Call to action
